Location: Hybrid - London - 2 days in office per week

Why do we want you?

You're an experienced and highly credible Events Sales Manager / Exhibitions Sales Manager, with proven experience within B2B event sponsorship & exhibition sales, ideally within professional services and/or the UK healthcare market but that's not essential.

Your passion is smashing KPIs and telephone sales in a fast-paced environment and you have a solid record of exceeding your sales targets through combining new business sales campaigns with repeat sales from existing customers.

Our Wilmington Healthcare Events EMEA team deliver successful events for a variety of leading brands within our portfolio of businesses including Health Service Journal (HSJ).

As our Business Development Manager, you'll be working alongside our award-winning HSJ Events team!

The team is incredibly dedicated and hugely passionate about delivering commercially successful events and marketing solutions that help improve patient outcomes.

You will use your experience, drive, and tenacity to secure new sponsors and exhibitors as well as retaining existing clients.

Your strong sales skill set will help you to navigate senior decision makers to encourage them to utilise our events via sponsorship & marketing services to meet their objectives and grow their businesses.

Your desire to succeed means your sales action plan is well thought through and regularly re-evaluated enabling you to forecast accurately and exceed your sales target.

As our Business Development Manager, you will be directly responsible for:

- Developing a comprehensive sales plan to deliver and/ or exceed your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

- Pro-actively sourcing & secure new business revenue in agreed territory whilst managing & growing existing accounts.

- Balancing consultative selling with selling the range of products in the portfolio.

- Developing a pipeline of four times your monthly target.

- Securing a minimum of 30 meetings a month, either in-person or via Microsoft Teams.

- Seeking, driving and maximising sponsorship partnership opportunities by avoiding discounting and focusing on the value proposition to drive yield.

- Forecasting effectively - weekly, monthly, quarterly.

- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

- Building sponsorship spectrum, identify potential sponsors.

- Following the client through to delivery, collaborating with our internal functions.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

- Extensive B2B event sponsorship sales experience in an events' business, or similar.

- Strong people skills, and relationship building experience

- A successful history of hitting sales targets.

- Demonstrable experience in finding and securing new business.

- Experience of selling marketing solutions.

- Good knowledge of SalesForce, Sales Navigator & Natterbox (or similar).

It would be great if you had:

- Experience of business development, or similar, within the UK healthcare market.
