Summary


Due to successful internal promotion we are able to offer the following exciting opportunity within our HR Operations Team for the of role of Deputy HR Business Partner.

The post reports to the HR Business Partner to deliver a professional and customer focused best modern people management practice including workforce management and development and employee relations to support the delivery of NCH&C objectives.

You will have the opportunity to get involved in creating and delivering HR solutions according to business need as well as supporting projects, implementing change and coaching and advising managers within the service.

In this interesting and varied role you will provide expert advice for staff and leaders to regarding employment policy and practice, sickness absence support, support for organisational change programmes and supporting investigations into employment matters encompassing all aspects of employee relations.

We are looking for a CIPD qualified candidate who:
• Has previous experience of provide advice and support to leaders and staff on a wide range of HR operational issues, with sound employment law knowledge.
• Is comfortable interpreting and working with data, to develop understanding and insight, and to inform solutions
• Is a creative team player, who will act as a role model within the HR Operations Team for the team both within the trust and externally, demonstrating our trust values and behaviours.
• A calm and confident communicator who will work proactively with leaders to bring about change.

Provide high quality advice on all HR issues in specified areas, and working with the HR Business Partner, ensure there is the best people management practice including workforce management and development and employee relations in all designated areas.

With the HR Business Partner to be a key member of the senior management team, acting as an effective “business partner” providing high quality advice and challenge to influence improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the specified areas and coaching managers to improve their leadership and people management skills.

To work on specific delegated trust-wide HR projects in line with the Workforce Strategy and annual plan.

To act as a role model within the HR team and for the team both within the Trust and externally, demonstrating the Trust values and behaviours at all times. To develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation including at the senior level.

To provide support and advise to managers delivering challenging and sensitive messages, such as redundancy, redeployment, disciplinary and sickness matters.

The role will operate in an agile way, with an expectation to work in a combination that is both onsite and working remotely as the service requires.
