Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant
Full-time role running until July initially - opportunity to extend from September
Earn up to £460 per week as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant

This exciting primary school near Liverpool is looking to secure the services of an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team for the rest of the academic year. The role will be to work closely with children across the school who require additional support due to additional needs as well as behavioural issues that may be holding them back. For the right candidate, the role will extend from September 2024 on a longer-term basis.

The school is located ten-minutes from Liverpool city centre. It is a community driven school that promotes wellbeing as much as it does education, providing an excellent mix of learning and personal development to provide a well-rounded school experience for their children. It utilises the large outdoor learning areas that the school boasts to create engaging and diverse lessons to stimulate the minds of the children in a variety of ways.

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be tasked with providing support to the class teacher in the setting up and running of lessons and activities. You will work with children in group and one-to-one settings to provide support and encouragement. At times, you will work with children who may have fallen behind with work or require the additional support to complete the tasks set. You will also work closely with children who have additional needs and require support throughout the school day.

This school believe in having staff who have the drive and belief to succeed in a school environment – therefore previous experience is not essential. There are opportunities at the school to complete further training opportunities in order to progress your career to the next stage.
