Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Team Leader. As an Assistant Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and support in a care home setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for care for adults with a learning disability.

This is a rare opportunity to support a well established 8 bedded home set in stunning grounds.
it is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with vulnerable adults.

The successful candidate will support the current Team Leader to utilise their past experience and knowledge, gained from working in a previous supervisory or managerial role, to ensure cohesive team working whilst promoting person centred care.

Duties:
- Assist the Team Leader in supervising and managing daily operations of the care home
- Collaborate with the Team Leader to develop and implement care plans for residents
- Provide guidance and support to care staff, ensuring high-quality care is delivered
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of care staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address concerns and ensure a positive living environment
- Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining records, updating care plans, and managing inventory
- Utilise IT systems to document resident information and track care services

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a learning disability care setting
- Strong drive and motivation to make a positive impact on the lives of adults with a learning disability
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively supervise and lead a team
- Knowledge of care planning processes and regulations preferably gained from working with adults with a learning disability
- Proficient in using IT systems for documentation purposes
