Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Team Leader. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of a 4 bedded bungalow for adults with a learning disability.

Acorn Village, established in 1975, offers high quality care and accommodation to adults with a learning disability.

Set in a stunning 14 acres site, the successful candidate will have the autonomy to utilise their past experience and knowledge, gained from working in a previous supervisory or managerial role, to ensure cohesive team working whilst promoting person centred care.

Responsibilities:

- Supervising and managing daily operations of the home
- Develop and implement care plans for residents
- Provide guidance and support to care staff, ensuring high-quality care is delivered
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of care staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address concerns and ensure a positive living environment
- Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining records, updating care plans, and managing inventory
- Utilise IT systems to document resident information and track care services
- Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a learning disability care setting
- Strong drive and motivation to make a positive impact on the lives of adults with a learning disability
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- To provide direction, guidance, mentorship and a nurturing approach to the Care Staff within the team

- To ensure that the care provided is in accordance with current best practices and guidelines, is person centred and reflects the Acorn ethos

- Facilitating ongoing training and educational opportunities for the team

- Active promotion of independence and inclusion for residents ensuring opportunities are given to make choices

- Support individualised, high quality person-centred care

- Follow CQC guidelines, Acorn Policies & Procedures and Health & Safety Policies

Qualifications:
