Job description
The company design and manufacture test products & systems for propulsion, power train, vehicle, and component test systems at their facility in Malvern. The company is undergoing a period of growth and change.
The company supplies systems ranging from a new control and data logging system for an existing test cell through to a new turnkey test cell complete with dynamometer, cooling systems, measurement equipment including integrated cell support infrastructure and independent safety protection solutions.
Department: Shop Floor
Main Purpose of The Job:
To achieve output targets as expected safely, high quality within build deadlines.
The role:
Working as part of a closely-knit team, you will be responsible for wiring control panel and a variety of equipment designed for use in an automotive test equipment.
The role is mainly factory-based electrical assembly, but there will be times work will be required at various client premises.
Key responsibilities include:
Skilled in reading Bill of Materials, schematic drawings to assembly wiring, switches, cables, and other mechanical or electrical pieces, and able to use soldering iron and hand tools.
Ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion.
Maintaining good audit paperwork
Interpreting technical drawings and providing feedback on errors/suggesting changes to originator
Provide workshop / site work support as required.
To be considered for the role, you ideally will:
Be able to interpret electrical drawings.
Have sound experience of panel building and machine wiring.
Have a good eye for detail.
Methodical
Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Have the desire to learn and improve oneself.
Be a self-starter with the maturity to be able to work with minimal supervision but equally, knows when support is needed.
Understanding of the following standards BS7671, BS EN 60204-1:2018, and EN13849
Have good communication skills.
Good knowledge and understanding in health and safety requirements, Company procedures and policies to maintain safety standards including a basic knowledge of ISO9001.
Proven ability to manage personal workload and demonstrate good personal organisational skills.
