Job description
The company design and manufacture test products & systems for propulsion, power train, vehicle, and component test systems at their facility. The company is undergoing a period of growth and change.
The company supplies systems ranging from a new control and data logging system for an existing test cell through to a new turnkey test cell complete with dynamometer, cooling systems, measurement equipment including integrated cell support infrastructure and independent safety protection solutions.
Main Purpose of the Job:
To achieve output targets as expected safely, high quality within build deadlines.
Duties:
A good team member who is experienced in the following:
Machining
Manual lathe turning
Manual milling
Assembly of bearings and shafts
Alignment of shafts
Electrical knowledge
Demonstrable track record of fabrication (TIG & MIG Welding, Steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Thickness 1mm - 20mm, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to work on their own initiative and problem solve.
The Role:
Working on a variety of equipment designed for use in an engine testing cell
Report to Workshop Supervisor.
39 Hours per week, Monday > Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm. Friday 7.30am >2.30pm.
Overtime is available daily at time and a half.
Must be able to work at various client premises including outside UK.
Min 3-5 years’ experience
Personal Characteristics & Skills:
Energy and enthusiasm required.
Ability to work under a minimum of supervision.
