Summary
We have a new opportunity for an Operations Technician to join our client based in Beckton, ensuring safe, efficient control of operational and maintenance activities associated with the installed plant.
This is a permanent role with an attractive salary and benefits package on offer working for a Company with over 25 years’ experience providing operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring, inspecting and controlling plant parameters and providing appropriate first line maintenance
• Interpret and control plant operations through general plant and data presented via a DCS
• Identify, assist and respond effectively to operational demands
• Provide plant systems start up and shutdown services and participate in emergency shutdown procedures
• Identify and immediately report plant defects, observations and anomalies
• Assist on projects and outage preparation
• Control raw material offloading including road tanker fuel, oil and Urea
Requirements:
• Time served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) in an engineering or process discipline
• Relevant experience of working in and contributing to a continuous process / production environment
• First line maintenance
• Working shifts and to targets
• Fault finding, route cause analysis, problem solving, data monitoring
• Safe system of work processes and procedures
• Permit to work risk assessments and method statements
