People Communications Manager Hybrid – Attached to London with UK Travel Full Time, Permanent £70,000
- £85,000 (dependent on experience)
Here at Serco, we are seeking an ambitious People Communications Manager to spearhead internal communications initiatives to empower our global workforce. Reporting to the Communications and Marketing Director, you will collaborate with colleagues in North America, Europe, the UK, Middle East & Asia Pacific to elevate our brand and foster engagement at all levels.

Sitting at the centre of the global business, you will need to be proactive in generating captivating and innovative ideas and content. You will naturally infuse creativity into your work and become a ‘culture carrier’ at Serco. You will thrive in environments where you’re empowered to dive into projects, fostering collaboration and driving initiatives forward with energy. Operating autonomously will come naturally to you, drawing from a strong background in communications within HR, culture, or people-centric roles.
As part of this you’ll:


- Strategic Communication: Develop and execute dynamic internal communication strategies in partnership with senior leaders.
- Colleague Engagement: Be the catalyst for increased engagement by crafting compelling communications and fostering meaningful dialogue with our frontline workforce.
- Content Creation: Create captivating content across various channels, from newsletters to social media, to keep employees informed and inspired.
- Storytelling: Source and share impactful stories and case studies from across the organisation to showcase our values and achievements.
- Network Building: Build and nurture a community of communications champions and collaborate closely with embedded communications colleagues.
- Event Management: Take the lead on internal events such as business update calls and conferences, ensuring they are engaging and memorable.
- Collaboration: Support marketing and media teams to align internal and external communications efforts for maximum impact.
- Evaluation: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and strive to exceed engagement targets.


What you’ll need to do the role:


- Dynamic Communicator: Exceptional written and visual communication skills with a talent for storytelling.
- Engagement Expert: Proven track record of driving employee engagement through innovative communication strategies.
- Digital Savvy: Proficiency in leveraging internal social media channels and other digital platforms to connect with employees.
- Collaborative Spirit: Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
- Event Management: Strong event planning and execution skills to deliver impactful internal events.
- Strategic Thinker: Understanding of business strategy and how internal communications can contribute to organisational goals.
- Creative Mindset: Ability to think outside the box and distil complex information into engaging messages.
