Description
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Gypsy & Traveller Services Officer Grade 5. As an Assistant Gypsy & Traveller Services Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to the Gypsy & Traveller Services team, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of services to the Gypsy and Traveller community.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference by helping to address the unique challenges faced by the Gypsy and Traveller community. You will work closely with the Gypsy & Traveller Services Officer to develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote inclusion and improve outcomes for Gypsy and Traveller individuals and families. This will involve conducting research, analyzing data, and making evidence-based recommendations.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be required to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Gypsy and Traveller community members, local authorities, and other organizations. You will also need to be highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
Assist the Gypsy & Traveller Services Officer in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives to support the Gypsy and Traveller community.
Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of evidence-based recommendations.
Build and maintain relationships with Gypsy and Traveller community members, local authorities, and other organizations.
Provide support and assistance to Gypsy and Traveller individuals and families accessing services.
Assist with the coordination of events, workshops, and training sessions.
Help to develop and deliver educational resources and materials.
Contribute to the preparation of reports and other documentation.
Requirements
A strong understanding of the issues faced by the Gypsy and Traveller community.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
Experience working in a similar role or with the Gypsy and Traveller community is desirable.

Pay Per Hour: £13.47
