Summary

Job Title: Engineering and Design Technology Teacher (Part-time, 0.8 FTE)

Location: Preston

Start Date: September 2024

Pay Rate: Main Pay Scale (MPS) / Upper Pay Scale (UPS) in accordance with experience and qualifications.

Position Overview:

We are excited to present this opportunity for an enthusiastic Engineering and Design Technology Teacher. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering engaging lessons and fostering a supportive learning environment for students. You will lead the development of the Engineering qualification at KS4 and inspire students through Design Technology at KS3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver captivating lessons that ignite students' passion for Engineering and Design Technology.
• Lead the development of the Engineering qualification at KS4.
• Inspire and motivate students through Design Technology at KS3.
• Utilise assessment data effectively to inform planning and teaching.
• Contribute to intervention strategies within the subject area.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop syllabuses, resources, and teaching strategies.
• Provide enrichment opportunities for students.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the growth and development of all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong background in Engineering and Design Technology.
• Experience teaching GCSE standards.
• Proven track record of achieving excellent progress with students.
