Summary

Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent secondary school to locate a Design Technology teacher for a long-term position for a school within the Callington area. This role will not require planning and marking.

By learning the curriculum, the pupils will be provided with the knowledge and skills to succeed in life and make a positive contribution to society. The students are all the inheritors of the great ideas, writings, and discoveries of the past and the young people of Plymouth have a right to learn this knowledge.

Role:

  • Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Design Technology
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Design Technology at secondary school level
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • A relevant Design Technology degree is desirable
  • Live within or in commutable distance of North Cornwall
