This role entails providing essential support to students with behavioral challenges and includes driving responsibilities.

**Position:** Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Behavioral Support

**Location:** Plymouth, UK

**Salary:** £95 - £110 per day

**About the Role:**

- As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in empowering students with behavioral needs within an educational environment.

- Your responsibilities will include delivering one-on-one or small group support, implementing behavior management strategies, and contributing to the development and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.

- This role also encompasses driving responsibilities, such as safely transporting students to and from school or other designated locations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide compassionate support to students with behavioral needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.

- Implement effective behavior management techniques and interventions in collaboration with the classroom teacher.

- Assist in the planning and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.

- Safely transport students to and from school or other designated locations as required.

**Requirements:**

- Demonstrated experience working with students with behavioral needs in an educational or comparable setting.

- Sound knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.

- Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to undertake driving responsibilities as part of the role.

- Relevant qualifications or training in special education, counseling, psychology, or related fields are advantageous.
