Summary

All Saints is a catholic 11-18 Mixed Comprehensive serving York and the surrounding community. It is highly regarded in the local area and recognised as a friendly and welcoming school with high academic standards. The school has a very positive learning culture and our Ofsted report (2016) graded the school as outstanding.

All Saints Catholic Secondary School is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, a family of 38 schools, and a vibrant Sixth Form College. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 staff, NPCAT is now one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the UK.

Design Technology includes a suite of extremely popular and thriving subjects with large numbers of students opting to study at GCSE and increasing numbers at A level. In the academic year, the school has added engineering to its already wide offer. As a result, the governors of this highly successful and oversubscribed school seek to appoint a new member of staff to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational and dynamic classroom practitioner who can teach or have the ambition to teach to A level. Ideally we are seeking a candidate with the flexibility to teach across the department at KS3 but specialism in textiles and or food would be an advantage.

Applications are welcome from both experienced and Early Career Teachers. We are committed to your on-going professional development and you can expect to benefit from a high quality CPD programme. All Saints is a key strategic partner in the Pathfinder Teaching School Hub. This together with our involvement in the provision of professional teaching qualifications provides an excellent environment for those teachers who are ambitious and excited by the exposure to innovative research based teaching and learning.

An application form and further details are available from the trust website - https://npcat.org.uk/current-vacancies/

If you require any additional information please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01904 647877.
