Summary

WR Fundraising Recruitment is proud to be working again with The Dash Charity who have been supporting people experiencing Domestic Abuse in the communities of East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire for more than 45 years.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to take on a new role as Fundraising Officer, working closely with an amazing manager and working with some inspirational supporters and donors. This is a really varied and exciting role where you can have a positive impact on the local community.

DASH are looking for an experienced fundraiser, with a grounding in writing compelling trusts & foundations to work on a strong pipeline of applications.
You’ll also have the opportunity to work with supporters via other income streams such as community fundraising and events.

• 3 or 4 days a week
• Flexible working patterns to suit
• Up to £32,000 per annum pro rata
• Slough, Berkshire with hybrid working
• Permanent

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Work with the Fundraising & Communications Manager to generate trusts and foundations income streams.
• Prospect research potential trusts and grants funders
• Compile information and write reports to existing funders on their impact
• Act as a point of contact for donor enquiries and follow up leads in a timely manner
• Work with local community groups building great relationships and generating vital income for the community
• Use social media and online communications to increase the charity’s profile and encourage supporter
• engagement.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
• Track record in winning funds through bids and applications to grant giving bodies
• Experience of working across an organisation to develop funding proposals for new projects or areas of work
• First class, demonstrable communication skills with the ability to write compelling and innovative proposals and funding reports
• Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills
• Willingness to work flexibly on other duties on tasks raging from supporter care and communications to community fundraising and events
