About the role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Kitchen Manager, someone who is looking for the next step in their career in a role which offers great work life balance with no late nights!

Working in collaboration with the Café manager to take the business to the next level. This role will be pivotal in the success and running of the café, its all about creating a winning team and delivering the best café experience for our customers.

As a Kitchen Manager you will be responsible for the daily operations of your kitchen. You will be responsible for managing the stocks, controlling how food is stored and prepared and supervising how the customers are served. To support your back of house colleagues you will help train and develop them to deliver quality timely food to all of our customers.

You will be responsible for

  • Be responsible for the operation of the kitchen, ensuring routines, processes, and change are all well managed.
  • Put your skills, experience, and instincts to the test, chasing opportunities, finding better ways of working and getting things right for our customers and colleagues.
  • Be the café menu expert who can share their knowledge with the team, helping colleagues to know and love our menu
  • Ensuring that all training, H&S and Food Safety requirements are met
  • Adapt your leadership styles appropriately to different people and situations.
  • Work closely with your café manager to have effective communication within the team.
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive environment where your team feel not only respected, but safe and valued
  • Make sure that all the team adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure café is safe and legal.
  • Oversee gross profit, ordering and stock control.
  • Competent to oversee the full Café operation, in the absence of your line manager.

You will need

  • Have previous management experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to remain productive in a high-pressure environment
  • Passionate about great customer service
  • To be an excellent communicator and inspirational leader.
  • In-depth knowledge within the hospitality industry
  • Be able to coach with an inclusive style
  • Have great planning and organisational skills
  • To be someone who thrives in a branded business, with set menus, food specs, etc.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • To be 18 years of age or older.
