Excellent role on offer for an ambitious Maintenance Engineer looking to join a global, market leading manufacturing company where you will play an integral part in maintaining and repairing all plant and machinery whilst ensuring the requisite health, safety and GMP requirements are upheld.
The purpose of the role is to maintain reliable operation of the plant. The job function is to carry out multi-skilled Maintenance tasks. The role would require the skills of an experienced maintenance type of person with a bias to mechanical but electrical will be considered with relevant mechanical experience. The work involves a range of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance as required. The successful candidate is required to be proactive in driving improvements in maintenance methods and techniques in keeping with known standards of quality, safety and hygiene.


As a Maintenance Engineer your job will require you to:
* Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis
* Electrical & Mechanical Fault Finding
* Use predictive maintenance techniques such as thermo-graphic imaging and vibration analysis as well as experience, skill and judgement to make regular assessments of the plant condition.
* Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance work-flow methods and techniques.
* Maintain PLC controlled plant systems including pneumatic and hydraulic components.
* Provide support to the engineering team in carrying out maintenance tasks efficiently.
* Get involved with project works when required.
* Ensure adherence to safe system of work, ppe permits, risk assessment

About you as the Maintenance Engineer:
* NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance
* Electrical qualification
* Diagnostic trouble shooting and problem analysis are essential skills
* Problem solving / breakdown analysis
* Experience with PLC controlled plant equipment
* Working at heights experience - preferred
* Food/FMCG Experience
* PPM and Breakdowns
* Quality focused, conscientious and self-motivated
* Be flexible, adjust shifts to cover other engineers holiday
* Excellent communication skills

Night Shift Pattern:
Mon-Thurs -> 7.30pm- 5.30am
Fri -> 4.00pm - 2.00am
