Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated mental health practitioner who is experienced in mental health problems and psychiatric disorders, accredited by the BABCP and will be expected to carry out in-depth mental health assessments including risk assessments where required. Applicants must have a passion for developing and working closely with other professionals in schools in order to develop referral pathways. The post holder must have experience of working with a wide variety of children and young people in a range of clinical settings. Experience in leadership role is important however we are looking for a candidate with the essential skills and values required to clinically lead and proactively support a busy team which is always adapting and changing according to need. This is an exciting time to join the service and this role will be key in driving forward the service and developing whole school approaches to mental health. Experience of recent working with schools and delivering mental health promotional collaborative work in such an arena is vital in order to be able to fulfill the role. Applicants must also have experience of providing case management supervision to CAMHS staff, student or other team professionals. Applicants will be need to have a genuine interest in working within Children and Young peoples mental health and wellbeing within the schools environment. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to network and show enthusiasm when working with other agencies such as Schools, Public Health, Local Authorities amongst others as and when required.
