Summary
Hours of work: 41 hours per week. Shifts will be within the following rota:
Monday 7.30am-5.30pm,
Wednesday & Thursday 7.30am-6pm,
Friday 7.30 am-5.30PM
Rate of pay: £17.60 per hour.
We are looking for a team leader to work alongside and under the direction of the employer to deliver all training for new staff, supervise staff, plan activities, attending meetings and support with paperwork alongside all other Personal Assistant tasks.
Our daughter is a happy young woman who has complex care needs, she is a wheelchair user, she has a learning disability, she is nonverbal and has a great sense of humour. Our daughter loves to be busy; she attends a day centre where she participates in various activities. She also attends weekly hydrotherapy sessions. At home she loves to be given a massage, have a foot spa or her nails painted. We are looking for a small team of PAs to work on a 2-1 ratio to support her with all aspects of personal care and as she likes to keep busy. The team of PAs will enable her to participate in suitable activities inside and outside of home.
An NVQ level 3 or equivalent in care or over 5 years’ experience in care is essential for this role. Preferably with some knowledge of learning disability.
A car driver who is over 25 (for insurance purposes) and would be willing to drive our large wheelchair accessible vehicle is preferred but not essential.
