Summary

It’s an exciting time to join our Counter Fraud team here at AXA as a Counter Fraud Investigator. You’ll manage a portfolio of complex counter fraud investigations from detection to closure utilising best practice, fraud intelligence, and proactive fraud detection to get the best outcomes for AXA and our Customers. You’ll share best practise and provide coaching and proactive feedback to Claims Handlers on quality of referrals and outcomes to increase Fraud Input, and support the technical expertise of the wider department in Fraud Detection.

What you’ll be doing:


Adept use of validation techniques and tools available to validate EL and PL claims. Develop those at Counter Fraud Investigator level in the use of these and any new tools obtained.
Actively seek out and share general intelligence with industry contacts, undertake specific pro-active enquiries based upon the output of data mining / analytics tools where available.
Detect, defend and deter claims fraud against the Group to include suppliers, customers and third parties, acting individually or in concert as organised fraudsters.
Manage a portfolio of suspected fraudulent claims of all types and managing the same until completion (repudiation/settlement) using a combination of investigation techniques at our disposal to embed strong evidence gathering practices to secure the correct claims outcomes.
Carry out coaching, feedback and development with Fraud and Non Fraud Handlers to increase technical competence and fraud detection.
Specific point of contact for our internal and IFB Operations.
Referral point for fraud cases managed outside of Counter Fraud Unit i.e. Large Loss etc.
Assist police in criminal prosecutions by preparing statements in accordance with relevant legislation and present evidence in court where required.
Assist in analysing repudiation/walkaway rates/Fraud savings to identify trends and suggest changes in rules/process/identification/investigation opportunities.
