Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Reviews Officer (Homelessness) to join our team. As a Reviews Officer, you will play a vital role in our efforts to combat homelessness in our community. You will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of homelessness cases to ensure proper assessment, intervention, and support services are provided to individuals and families in need.
In this role, you will work closely with internal teams, community partners, and other stakeholders to assess the urgency and severity of each case and develop appropriate interventions. You will review and analyze client information, conduct interviews, gather supporting documents, and make recommendations for housing placement, healthcare access, financial assistance, and other support services.
The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in social work or a related field, with a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness. They are empathetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. They are also able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough reviews of homelessness cases
Assess the urgency and severity of each case
Develop appropriate intervention plans

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of issues related to homelessness and poverty
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Familiarity with local community resources and support services
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management systems
