Summary

I am working with a SEND school in Northwich who are looking for a number of Teaching Assistants to work various days each week. The working day is from 8.30am until 3.30pm and there are full time and part time roles available, as well as ad hoc days.

The school are an all through school who cater for students with varying additional needs, uncluding Autism, SLD and physical disabilities. The staff at school are highly dedicated and skilled who understand the needs of their students - they work hard to form positive and trusting relationships with their students and make every day and positive learning experience. The school provides a safe and secure environment, where independence in promoted and happy memories are created. There are forest schools and sensory rooms on site, where students can take time out of the classroom.

The roles available will vary - you may be asked to work with different ages and additional needs daily. You will be expected to ensure the safety of students at all times and facilitate their social and empotional well-being. There will be occassions when you are expecting to manage challenging behaviours and provide personal care. You will assist the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, offering additional academic support to students that need it. You will also be responsible for the daily administation duties in the classroom, such as photocopying work sheets and logging dietry requirements.

In order to apply for this role, you must have experience working in either an academic or residential setting. Is it essential you have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one and are able to provide 2 recenet references.
