Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting and Ofsted rated "Good" mainstream primary school in Winsford as they are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work across all classes in Key Stage 1 & 2. This contract covers long-term sickness, so it will last until the end of the academic year and is a full-time position.

Your new role
In your new role as a Teaching Assistant with this school, you will be supporting students aged between 4 - 11. You will work under the instruction of the class teachers to promote pupil engagement, learning, and inclusion in all subjects as well as offering intervention and booster sessions as required on a 1:1 and group basis. You will assist with general classroom management, aiding to utilise all learning equipment. You will use your initiative to identify when students may be struggling and offer 1:1 support as required. As you will be working across all year groups you may be required to assist with phonics, WELLCOMM, read write inc, numeracy and literacy.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working as a Teaching Assistant in the last 2 years, as well as:

  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
