Summary

This is a maternity cover for a set time from the 15th May 2024 to a maximum of January 2025 and is for internal candidates in the first instance. The role is required to meet Statutory Timescales around transition from Secondary to Further Education.

The role is primarily to coordinate and contribute to the decision-making process for assessment provision and the allocation of resources for young people transitioning to and from Further Education (FE). Monitor the provision and progress towards identified outcomes for young people with SEN in FE provision. Ensure services are delivered in an integrated and coordinated manner in line with council policy and government legislation to promote Inclusion practices where appropriate. The role will also entail meeting statutory timescales.
We need a professional with proven experience of working in FE Provision and experience of monitoring, reviewing and evaluating performance against targets. The candidates will also require proven experience of working with young people and families.
The candidate will also require:
Knowledge of proposed SEN/D legislation and funding
Knowledge of FE courses and accreditation routes
Knowledge of FE policies and practices
