Summary


We invite applications for a full-time post at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, based at Frimley Park Hospital with some duties at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. The successful applicant must have a license to practice from the GMC.

The appointee should ideally hold the MRCP (UK) or show evidence of equivalent training and experience. A specific interest in Immunology and Allergy would be particularly desirable. Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has a merged Pathology directorate with the Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Ashford and St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, and Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which is known as Berkshire & Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS).

Job Summary: This is a full-time post for a Clinical Fellow in Immunology (ST3+ grade).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Examination, investigation and treatment of patients attending the Clinical Immunology and Allergy Department. The post holder will be expected to attend up to 5 clinics per week (3 allergy clinics, 1 immunodeficiency and 1 desensitisation clinic). Clinics are based at Frimley Park Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
• Participation in the internal education activities of the Department including teaching nurses, medical students, junior doctors and other visitors to the Department.
• Participation in the external educational activities, including meetings and courses hosted by the Department.
• Participation in the research, audit and clinical governance activities of the Department.
• Providing medical support to non-medical staff of the clinic
• Performance of administrative tasks relevant to the department (such as writing of letters to colleagues and patients, compiling data, development of clinic protocols).
• Clinical liaison with other hospital departments, general practitioners and other agencies as required.
