Summary


An exciting opportunity has become available within the Financial Management Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The role will be providing support to the Corporate & Estates Divisions in the preparation and management of their financial accounts and would be suited to a friendly candidate who is keen to learn with a “can-do” attitude. The right candidate will be given support and opportunities necessary to kick-start a career in finance.

The post will mostly be based at the City Campus but the successful candidate will be expected to travel where necessary to other sites (Mainly the QMC Campus) to attend meetings. We are currently operating an Agile working arrangement combining on site attendance with working from home.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend a face to face interview on site at the City Campus.

The Management Accountancy Assistant is an entry level role supporting the Assistant Divisional Finance Manager, most notably in:

Preparation and posting of corrections and adjustments, including Month End Journals.

Financial management accounts preparation.

Assistance in preparation of monthly/annual reporting.

To calculate and raise sundry debtor requests and investigate and resolve outstanding customer queries.

To liaise closely with the Corporate/Estates divisional team, where you will provide support with financial queries from budget holders and non-finance colleagues.

The department uses Service Line Reporting as the main financial reporting tool, alongside Patient Level Costing, and we are using these tools to help our customers to develop a more business-like approach to the management of their services.
