Summary
Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer with the preferred background in HGV commercial vehicle/mechanical engineering with a working knowledge of electrics and hydraulics systems. the work involves adhering to costumer specifications precisely and within set time scales, often at high levels and additionally from low levels inspection pits.
Job Responsibilities
To follow engineering/electrical drawings.
To diagnose faults and problems and carry out permanent or temporary repairs as required to the customer satisfaction
to work away unsupervised and in such be responsible for checking your own work.
To be available at times at short notice to travel and work away from home for varying periods of time.
To present a good company image to costumers both on and of site. This is to include engineering skills, personal presentation and general behaviour.
To complete the necessary paperwork as laid down by company procedure for engineering/vehicle records, personal expenditure and time keeping records.
To work on a wide variety of fire appliances and equipment including pumps, hydraulics. and chassis services.
Job Requirements
Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and /hydraulic and electrical systems
Be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
The ability to prioritise
Product knowledge
Self-Motivated
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have a good level of fitness
Although the training will be on the day shift the role is for Days and Afternoons
