Summary
Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer on behalf of our client.
This is a highly rewarding position, joining a strong and dedicated Operations team in the Birmingham Branch providing a high level of job satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to carry out maintenance & repairs as required on Fire Alarm Systems.
As this is a field role covering the Wolverhampton area, it is essential you live within a 10 mile radius of Wolverhampton.
Essential Skills/Requirements:
• The engineer would need to be part of the on call rota which is currently, 1 in 7
• Stable /consistent work history
• Minimum of 2/3 years’ experience
• Good Fire Alarm Technical Knowledge
• Happy with a van
• Full Clean driving licence
Responsibilities:
â— Maintenance of conventional & addressable fire detection systems
â— Maintenance of emergency lighting systems
â— Maintenance of automatic opening vents
â— Fault finding and repairs to above systems
â— To provide reliable, quality support to our customers at all times
â— To have a professional telephone and face to face manor
â— Assist customers and regional team with technical issues either on the phone
or face to face
â— A flexible approach to working hours. Out of hours working will be required at times
â— Provide assistance and training to other team members as required
Key Skills:
â— FIA or equivalent Training
â— Excellent technical knowledge of fire systems
â— Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks & problems
â— Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently
â— Be presentable in person and in vehicle and tools
â— Excellent communication and organisational skills
â— Good customer service skills
Salary:£30,000 pa + Benefits + Laptop, Phone, Van, 25 days annual holiday
