Hull is a port and popular university city in Yorkshire with a long history as a centre of free thinking and bold ideas, culminating in UK City of Culture 2017. Culture continues to flourish alongside an increasing café culture and leisure offer in the city centre. Hull is also leading the UK renewables sector with over £700m being invested regionally through Siemens, Able, ABP and the development of Greenport Hull.
Property prices in the area are well below national averages. There are new city centre living opportunities, particularly in the attractive old town and marina areas as well as wide ranging easy commuter options in the suburbs and surrounding towns and villages. Hull is a short distance by road and rail from the lovely market town of Beverley, regularly cited in national publications as being one of the best places to live in both the North and in the UK and is also within commuting distance of the historic city of York.
To complement an excellent work-life balance, Hull is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds with attractive coastline easily accessible. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is just over an hour’s drive away. You’ll find a friendly welcome and a great quality of life here for you and your family.
