Summary

Maintenance Operative – Hull / Grimsby

Main Purpose

To ensure the maintenance of the property portfolio and offices. To carry out scheduled or reactive repairs of the properties to a high standard. Build and nurture relationships with internal and external customers.

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

To carry out maintenance repairs to buildings, fixtures, and fixings. Including a wide range of joinery tasks, basic plumbing, and electrical works
To inspect systems, maintain grounds including general cleans and painting
Undertake all scheduled and reactive repairs to a high standard to the property portfolio

Deliver/remove furniture and white goods
When required assist with stock management
Complete handover inspections and highlight any concerns to the Property Admin team
Have awareness of any repairs within the properties and report to the Property Admin team
Highlight any safeguarding concerns to the Management Team
Responsible for own personal safety and risk assess each situation accordingly using the provided safety planning information
Mentor new recruits to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation
Be responsible for a company vehicle and ensure all checks and documentation are completed and accurate
Attend all relevant training courses and meetings as required
Attend a minimum of Bi-annual One to One meetings
Adhere to all Target Housing’s policies and procedures
Perform any other duties as requested or required to further the aims of the organisation and as directed by the Management Team

Person Specification

Able to meet the physical demands of the role
Experience of general maintenance
Flexible and willing to adapt to a frequently changing role
Understand the need for continuous improvement within the service
Able to work well within a team
Awareness and understanding of the people we support and their potential vulnerabilities
