Summary

Hours: 16 hours per month and 4 hours every weekend (to be discussed at interview)

Area: South Shields

Rate of pay: from age related national minimum wage to £12.15 per hour

Holidays: 5.6 weeks per annum (pro rata)




We are looking for a PA for a 5-year-old Autistic child with a learning disability, who lives at home with their parents and older siblings. He likes to be outdoors, to go swimming, cooking, and playing on his iPad. He also likes trains and Disney.

This funny outgoing young boy loves to draw and play with his trains and will happily walk along the beach, so because of his needs would need constant supervision when out and about. He also would need assistance with eating and personal care.

The responsibilities of the PA would be to assist the family to provide support for this child in the community which helps the family dynamic and to understand that situations and environments can sometimes be overstimulating and stressful.

The PA would need to be aware and constantly alert to maintain his safety, as this child has bundles of energy and is always active.

The hours be over weekends and evenings to be discussed at interview.

A driver for this role is not essential but, the family would prefer a driver.
