Summary

Assistant Restaurant Manager (WinePress and Private Dining)

We are currently looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to be part of a successful team supporting the restaurants daily operations in our two rosette standard restaurant and private dining on a full time, permanent basis.

Key Accountabilities:
- Work in partnership with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the restaurant meets and exceeds standards and targets
- Coach and develop your Supervisors and Head waiters/ess and teams to ensure efficiency, leading by example
- Update your management team on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
- Chair regular meetings and briefings with your teams
- Complete and deliver monthly one to one reviews in line with Company Objectives, Vision and Values, using this time to set and review individual objectives
- Communicate effectively, in a way that your teams are empowered and involved in all appropriate developments across the business
- Demonstrate high levels of planning, organising, and time management to drive the operational execution across the department
- To ensure that all banquet and function specifications are met in accordance with the daily sheets, updating information of arrangements in liaison with the conference & events sales team
- You will be overseeing multiple events including meetings, conferences, private events, weddings and banquets.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, controls and standards (e.g. due diligence, cleanliness, H&S, dress code standards etc.)

We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar establishment as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor
- Demonstrate a commercial mind set & outlook to stay responsive to customer needs
- Create and take ownership to deliver results on time
- Come up with ideas and take opportunities to improve performance by using knowledge of customers product and competitors
- Spend quality time on the floor observing and giving feedback to the team
- Constantly looking at ways to develop a long lasting relationship with customers and exceed their expectations
- Think profit contribution and benefit to the business
- Communicate in a confident and friendly manner
