To provide support for a 17-year-old girl who has a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and severe Learning Disabilities.
Person Specification:
We are looking to recruit a support worker to enable this 17-year-old young girl to develop her independence skills and ability to access the community safely. The role will include helping her to understand managing money, using public transport and keeping herself safe when out and about.The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people with complex needs.
Essential Requirements:
· Always provide close supervision maintaining the young person’s safety in all settings.
· Have a high degree of initiative.
· Be punctual and dependable as the young person cannot be left unsupervised.
· Be flexible.
· Have a happy, positive and caring nature.
· Respect confidentiality.
Hours:
10 hours per week during all school holiday weeks, some flexibility around which days the support takes place.
Rate of Pay£13.09 per hour.5.6 weeks holiday pro-rata.Out of pocket expenses will be met by the employer.
Additional Information:
An Enhanced DBS disclosure is required, cost to be met by employer.
Driving licence required and vehicle must be insured for business use.
