Families and Welfare Lead Admin
UK Defence Academy, Swindon, SN6 8LA
Full time, Permanent (37 hours a week)
£23,837.00 per annum plus benefits
Working Hours: Monday
- Thursday 0730-1600, Friday 0730-1230.
Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions.

Serco have an exciting new role as a Family and Welfare Lead Admin. This role will be located in a Community Centre working closely with Military families and their children. You’ll provide effective Administrative and Secretarial support to the Families and Welfare Office for Shrivenham Station, ensuring a high standard of administrative support across the Service Families welfare support area.


Key Accountabilities:


- Carry out reception duties and act as a focal point for all visitors to the Families and Welfare Office and Jubilee Centre, dealing with enquiries and questions as necessary.
- Provide Administrative and Secretarial support for the Station Welfare Officer and the Welfare Warrant Officer.
- Carry out monthly checks to include First Aid, Health and Safety and Fire.
- To act as Secretary for Shrivenham Station Welfare meetings and other meetings as required, including the drafting of calling notices and agendas, along with the drafting of minutes and their subsequent distribution
- following approval.
- To ensure that adequate stationery levels are maintained for the department and are re-ordered as required.

- Previous admin experience in beneficial
