ABOUT THE ROLE

At The Place, we're dedicated to providing groups and activities for families in Faringdon with children under 5. As part of our committed staff and volunteer team, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment where families can connect, learn, and thrive together; as well as helping to plan and deliver sessions to promote positive play, communication, and learning experiences for young children. Additionally, you'll offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers on how to engage in play activities that promote attachment, healthy child development, and positive relationships within the family. Ensuring the welfare and safety of babies and children is paramount, and you'll be responsible for promptly addressing any safeguarding concerns in accordance with established policies and procedures. You'll also maintain a welcoming and safe environment for families by ensuring that all equipment and resources are clean, safe, and suitable for their intended purpose. Funding for this role is initially until end October 2024 but there is a strong commitment to ensure the work continues beyond this date.
