Summary

Are you an experienced senior leader in the social housing repairs and maintenance space looking for your next step within an industry-leading housing national housing association? Do you have a proven track record of successful change management and experience in a leadership role where you’ve overseen responsive repairs and maintenance teams to deliver an excellent service to residents? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join this high-performing organisation as their Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance.

As Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance you will be accountable for the strategic management of the association’s maintenance service, including minor and major repairs, damp and mould, and voids. You will oversee a large DLO as well as external contractors through a range of contracts to ensure works are delivered to a high standard, using your expertise to effectively plan and develop the service, ensuring continuous improvement and value for money, and prioritising customer satisfaction. You will oversee all aspects of compliance for the service, and use data to further develop workstreams to adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an existing Head of Service or Director-level candidate to take ownership of the repairs and maintenance function of this evolving organisation, and would suit somebody who is already working for a local authority or housing association in the same capacity, or equally somebody who is currently delivering the same services for a main contractor and is looking for a move to the client-side. You will possess a strategic approach and a commercial mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to drive and motivate teams to deliver exceptional services to residents.

If you meet the criteria above and are looking for an opportunity to thrive within an inclusive and supportive team culture where you will play a key role in delivering a first class repairs and maintenance to social housing residents, we would love to hear from you.
