Summary


We have an exciting opportunity in our Community Dietetics team for a part time Band 6 Dietitian (23.75 hrs/wk). Additional hours may be available (TBC)

We are looking for an experienced Band 5 ready for the next step in their career or an existing Band 6 looking for a new challenge.

The successful post holder will join our friendly, well established community team to provide dietetic care, undertaking general outpatient clinics, home visits and supporting care homes. The post holder will also lead on development work re-establishing and delivering FODMAP groups for patient referred for IBS.

The Nutrition and Dietetic Service spans the whole of Buckinghamshire and consists of over 40 members of staff, providing acute and community nutrition and dietetic services across the county.

We actively encourage CPD and clinical supervision for the professional development of the team. The department has good secretarial / IT support and takes students for B and C placements.
• To be an autonomous practitioner and act as a source of clinical expertise in nutrition support in outpatient and community settings, care home homes or domiciliary visits.
• To provide specialised assessment, treatment and support of patients requiring dietetic treatment.
• To work as part of the dietetic team to provide a high quality, evidence based dietetic service to adult patients in the Buckinghamshire
• To provide support for dietitians, dietetic assistants, student dietitians and members of the wider MDT.
• To lead on developing and delivering FODMAP group sessions for patients referred for IBS.
