Summary
Our Clients in and around Greater London are looking for qualified and experienced Support Workers to look after vulnerable adults with enduring mental health and challenging behaviours. The Applicant should have a minimum of a Care Certificate or Health & Social Care Diploma or be working towards the qualification. The role involves empowering the residents, supporting them on their way to living independently, while helping make their daily lives as fulfilling and meaningful as possible.
SHIFT PATTERN: 7am to 2pm or 2pm to 9pm or 7am to 9pm
SLEEP OVERS: 10pm to 7am
SALARY: Shift: from £12.24 per hour/ Sleepover: £50
Essential:
• Up to date Mandatory training
• Current valid Enhanced DBS or be willing to have one done
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Support Worker within mental health services
• Good knowledge of mental health-related illnesses
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload
• Experience of working with caseloads of clients
• Experience of working in a multi-culturally diverse environment
• Compassionate and patient
• Positive and encouraging attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills so as to communicate appropriately with people at all levels and capacities
