JOB DESCRIPTION
Relief Personal Assistants
GENERAL INFORMATION
Personal assistant needed to assistant needed for male child living in Pentwyn area of Cardiff.
Personal assistant to have some knowledge and experience with working with children with autism and additional needs.
The post is to assist with school runs during term time, and respite care on weekends with social calls.
Car driver preferred for the post
HOURS OF WORK
12 hours per week
Wednesdays and Fridays – 3:10PM – 5:10PM (2 hours per day)
Saturdays or Sundays – 10:00AM – 6:00PM (8 hours)
Flexibility can be discussed with successful candidate.
RATE OF PAY
£12.60 per hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Assisting with social calls.
Assisting with school runs.
Providing assistance and supervision with various tasks if needed.
Driving – access to care preferred.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Responsible and reliable
Must be honest and trustworthy
Caring and friendly
Knowledge and experience of autism.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
