Summary

We are recruiting a Residential Child Care Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time or Part Time
Location: Various Locations in the Borough

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Residential Services.

We pay an attractive salary of £17,137.95 - £18,661.62 (Part Time) and £26,421 - £28,770 (Full Time), and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity and with this in mind, we are looking to recruit Residential Child Care Workers, with the option of both full time and part time contracts. We are seeking enthusiastic, nurturing hands-on people who have experience working with complex and challenging behaviours. Successful candidates will work in a multi-agency manner to support and promote the welfare and needs of young people with a high level of complex needs.

Previous experience of working in a children’s residential home is advantageous. We offer an excellent induction and training package, including supporting employees to attain sector specific qualifications that will support your professional development. We also provide training and support to enable you to work in a therapeutic, relational manner. On-going supervision is offered where training, development and personals need are addressed.

For the role, we ask that you have:

1. Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or the ability and commitment to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
2. An understanding of the issues that affect Young People.
3. Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle to transport children, young people on a regular basis
