The Opportunity:
The Business School Teaching Operations department is seeking to recruit a full time, open-ended Senior Teaching Administrator.
Reporting to the Teaching Administration Manager, you will work collaboratively with the Team Leader and the other Senior and Teaching Administrators to ensure consistency in the service provided to students and broader Student Experience priorities.
The Post holder will be a member of a team providing an effective service in all aspects of Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) programmes and associated courses, and must have excellent computing and interpersonal skills. You will be a key point of contact for Head of Group and associated programmes and courses.
You will form part of a wider Teaching Operations team, and will also work collaboratively with others in the Student Services function, contributing to the overall support provided to students across their time with the School.
The role shall be based within the Business school, 29 Buccleuch Place (Central Campus) with opportunities for discussion on informal hybrid workplace arrangements available at the time of offer.



Your skills and attributes for success:
• Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus work experience in a relevant role; or School education to standard grade or equivalent plus relevant work experience.
• High-level customer service standards and student focused approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, aligned with a friendly, professional and helpful manner.
• Good time management skills, with the proven ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively to ensure required deadlines are met.
• Resilience and enthusiasm to sustain a high level of performance when working to deadlines, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of both working/responding independently and as part of a team. Resourceful, with the ability to use initiative and a proactive approach to seeking out information.
