Summary
I am a retired Gentleman in my 70s, living in Gorseinon. I suffer from advanced Parkinsons Disease which greatly affects my mobility. I move around my home with a rollator but need to be in a wheelchair when out and about. I like to potter in the garden and have a go at basic DIY around the house. I also enjoy going to local charity shops, as well as larger stores further afield.
I would like a Personal Assistant who, ideally, has some experience of Parkinsons Disease, who shares my enjoyment of being outdoors on a nice day, and relaxing with a coffee or ice cream. My Parkinsons Disease does mean I can be slow at moving, so will need someone who is able to be patient.
Driving License and Own Car essential.
Tasks involved:
Visiting local shops/ Garden Centres
To assist/ take me for walks in the local area/ local places of Interest.
To help me in the garden with potting, planting, weeding etc
To accompany/ assist me to medical and other appointments when necessary.
To sit and chat, inside or outside if I am not up to going out.
Driving License with own car required.
Hours of work & rate of pay:
6 hours per week. £12.75 per hour.
Flexible afternoons, any day of the week .

• Be willing to undertake training relating to the post
Concerning the position
This will be a job requiring a National Insurance number and the right to work in the UK. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. The salary will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. A police check (DBS) may be required; the employer will meet the costs of this.
