Role Outline

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist with expertise in musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions to join our team on a part-time basis at our esteemed client's location in Portsmouth. This role entails working 13 hours per week.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding occupational health services, contributing as a key team member. This opportunity offers an ideal environment for a qualified Physiotherapist to enhance their skills and knowledge within a supportive team setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducting precise clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Categorising presented clinical musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders according to their relevance to work.
• Providing management reports post-assessment and upon discharge, outlining employees' fitness for work and any necessary role adjustments, whether short-term, long-term, or permanent.
• Leading on-site exercise sessions to aid in the rehabilitation of employees with musculoskeletal injuries.
• Maintaining effective communication with the broader occupational health team.
• Performing Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and offering preventive advice.
• Making recommendations to the client regarding necessary changes or equipment following DSE assessments.
• Identifying workplace hazards and evaluating the risk of these hazards causing or exacerbating musculoskeletal health issues.
• Collaborating with Safety Health & Environment advisors for ergonomic risk assessments to identify employee risks in specific areas.
• Providing the occupational health team with insights into required work practice or working environment adjustments, both short and long-term.
• Facilitating effective rehabilitation for staff with musculoskeletal disorders, irrespective of work-relatedness.
• Ensuring completion of comprehensive assessment and treatment records.
• Gathering statistical data for report generation and participating in health promotion events.

Skills

• Proficiency in conducting thorough assessments, including ergonomic evaluations.
• Experience in face-to-face assessments and workshop delivery.
• Familiarity with DSE assessments and health promotion activities.
• Strong report writing abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, injuries, and treatment methodologies.
• Competency in risk assessments and remote work capabilities.
• IT proficiency and commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Master's Degree.

Certifications

• HCPC registration.
