Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team as a Children's Social Worker. As a Grade 9 Social Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families in need.
As a Children's Social Worker, you will work closely with children, adolescents, and their families to provide guidance, support, and advocacy. You will assess their needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, and connect them with necessary resources and services. This role requires a strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and the ability to navigate complex family dynamics.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to determine client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
Provide counseling and support services to children and families in need
Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists and educators, to develop comprehensive intervention plans
Advocate for clients and ensure their rights are protected
Connect clients with community resources, such as mental health services, housing assistance, and educational programs
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Document all interactions and maintain accurate records
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
State-issued social work license required
Previous experience working as a Social Worker, preferably in a child welfare or family services setting
Strong knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect clients with appropriate services
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including child protection laws and confidentiality guidelines
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £27.98
