Summary


An exciting opportunity has risen within the Specialist Medicine Division, department of Renal Services for a full time permanent post of Renal Matron at Royal London Hospital. The post holder needs to be experienced, flexible, competent and comfortable with working as part of a dynamic team whilst engaging with senior management in line with service needs.

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse to work across renal services at the Royal London site. The role will include day to day management of renal inpatient services focusing on quality, safety and leadership qualities and matrix. The post holder must possess fundamental management, experience in leadership and have the ability to prioritise safe service requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to have extensive knowledge and skills to be able to organise, manage, lead and have the ability to evidence and action quality and safety measures. It is not essential that this opportunity requires renal experience or expertise, but does require the successful applicant to be able to demonstrate their commitment to the strategic nursing agenda that delivers safe effective and compassionate care.

The post holder will lead by example providing organisation quality, safety, and leadership to the multi-professional team. To deputise when necessary for the Senior Nurse in renal service.

The post holder will provide professional nursing leadership across the Renal service working in close collaboration with the Renal triumvirate team.

This post requires supporting, developing, and providing assurance that all quality, safety, and leadership practices are adhered to. The post holder will cover the renal inpatient ward areas, RECA (Renal Enhanced Care Area) and RAU (Renal Assessment Unit). It is not essential that the post holder must have renal experience as this post requires strong leadership.

The post holder will be accessible and visible to staff, patients, and visitors. Working with the Renal senior nurse, the post holder will ensure that renal inpatient services succeed in implementation of the trust objectives.
