Summary


For this band 5 position endoscopy experience is an advantage however the necessary training and support will be offered to undertake to work across the different clinical areas of the Endoscopy unit. The candidate must be willing to continue with professional development and be aware of the Trusts’ mission and values.
• Ensuring cleaning and disinfecting equipment is completed following manufacturer’s instructions and using knowledge of cross-infection risks and infection control policies and procedures.
• Identifying faulty equipment, reporting to the appropriate Clinical Engineering team.
• Identifying equipment that is due for regular preventive maintenance (PPM) and arranging for this work to be done by the appropriate Clinical Engineering team.
• Reporting problems associated with user error to the Medical Device Training team.
• Negotiating with Decontamination staff to ensure that equipment is available for use as required.
• To keep the endoscopy room well organised, tidy and presentable, consistent with the storage of patient-connected equipment and visits from clinical and support staff
