Job: Assembly Operative

ESS Employment have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, we are seeking an Assembly Operative to join our client based in Dursley. If successful you will be supporting the company’s operations by building, and when necessary, servicing and repairing all machinery/equipment in the workshop.

Responsibilities:
1.To build machinery/equipment following procedures to the highest standards.
2.To test new equipment once built to ensure it is ready for delivery to the customer. Additional testing required where machines are being delivered overseas.
3.To assist the Technical Dept with product development and safety testing.
4.To assist with stock control as and when required.
5.To prepare, pack, wrap and palletise orders safely and securely for sales orders, ensuring that they are suitable for transport and to reduce chance of damage during transit.
6.To organise and maintain a safe and tidy workshop.
7.To ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to and to uphold company standards at all times.
8.To assist with other departments as and when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.A sound background in both mechanical and electrical engineering and the ability to fault find and problem solve.
2.The ability to adapt to all working environments/circumstances.
3.Effective verbal skills and ability to work with people in a variety of circumstances and from various backgrounds.
4.Possess a thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work
5.Plan, prioritise, and coordinate, multi-task and complete work assignments within deadlines.
6.Able to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Able to be flexible in position requiring timely response.
