We are seeking a committed individual to join us as Recycling Projects Officer. This role is a interesting opportunity provide Project Management support for the review and improvement of the recycling offering from the Waste Service.
And to support the development, implementation and management of Recycling initiatives. Are you confident, diplomatic, tactful and persuasive when dealing with a wide range of people, able to engage and build relationships with key personnel at all levels as well as with local residents
The Recycling team is a vital part of the councils Waste Service and is about to go through a period of change and improvement, this role will be at the forefront of this change.
To be successful in this role you should have the:
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and establish effective relationships
- Knowledge of local government and an appreciation of the challenges and opportunities arising from partnership working.
- Knowledge of the work of WRAP and other bodies promoting re-use and recycling.
- Experience of working across organisational boundaries in a programme/project environment.
- Experience in a successful project development and implementation environment.
- Experience of supporting programmes and projects, with proven understanding of the impact across organisations.
- Experience of effectively managing budgets, procurement and small sized contracts with consultants and/or contractors.
- Experience of working within Waste Services and contributing to the development and implementation of recycling programmes
- Excellent computer skills and experience of using the full range of Microsoft Office applications.
