Summary

Acorn by Synergie is excited to be recruiting a innovative Head of Supply Chain for a trending sporting and lifestyle clothing retailer at their Braunton office.



Main Purpose of Job:
Overseeing and managing the operational activities to continuously improve functions by remaining compliant but adapting to the changing business needs. Assess and implement processes to ensure operational efficiency and profitability during the course of stock movement. Minimising disruptions to the day-to-day operations of the movement of stock and maximising the productivity of our 3PL, ensuring 'we' manage, plan, control and execute in the most cost-effective way.


Main responsibilities:
* Manage the international supply chain in terms of all shipping and distribution processes & procedures
* Monitoring and implementing ways within Operations to help the business activities be more sustainable
* Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
* Ensure that all products/stock are shipped in a timely manner and according to plans, by working closely with the Inventory Planner
* Manage and monitor all global shipping costs in the most efficient way by working closely with the Financial Controller and by managing all suppliers effectively.
* Manage the end of the line production liaison with China to ensure all packaging and SKU labelling is in accordance with agreed procedures
* In conjunction with our 3PL manage the Goods-In process to ensure stock is received and logged on systems in a timely and accurate manner
* Manage the relationship and Service Level Agreement with our 3PL ensuring all aspects of stock control and onward fulfilment/deliveries are met in accordance with targets. Produce monthly reports on performance
* Reduce the impact our company has on the environment from an Operational perspective
* Maintain and manage all company vehicles (vans)
* Oversee the development of our premises by working closely with other key management to ensure a safe, secure, clean, environment.


Knowledge, skills and experience required:

Essential
* Strong background in operations and logistics management
* PRINCE2 qualification in Project Management / equivalent experience
* Excellent analytical and data management skills
* Proven leadership skills
* Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of operation management systems, processes and best practices
* Optimising productivity and quality
* Risk analysis
* Developing and implementing strategies to achieve business goals
* Technical proficiency
* Management and leadership skills

* Project management qualifications / equivalent experience

* Strong attention to detail
