Summary
Main Job responsibilities
To assist the Café Manager and Café Supervisor with the day to day running of the Café.
Cashing up at the end of the day and reconciling the till and safe float.
Independently opening and closing the café when required.
Receiving deliveries and verifying that correct quantities have been delivered.
Ordering new stock and managing stock rotation.
Dealing with customer complaints, passing them on to the Supervisor or Manager if required.
Overseeing café assistants and pot washers, delegating duties and monitoring the quality of their work.
Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to, filling in any relevant paperwork required.
Preparing food and drinks freshly to order, serving on the till and coffee machine.
Greeting and advising customers
To clean to a high standard the kitchen area, counter and café area following strict guidelines.
